Welcome to our Surf Club (PSC) website. We are a bunch of “like minded” surfers who live in, or very nearby the coastal village of Porthleven and regularly surf the “reef” when its on! The “reef” is a man made blasted rock cut platform which was built when they opened up the harbour entrance in the late 1800’s. It has created the perfect right hand barrelling wave which we all love to ride today. Our club is for all generations of surfing and includes ultra keen school skiving teenagers to some of the wave’s first old school pioneers during the late 60’s. To date we have around 25 members and growing in numbers. As like any surfers we are a disorganised bunch but do try and hold a few events throughout the year including five or six club contests, inter-clubs and more importantly a couple of bloody good piss ups. The clubs all about the “social” and on an average day up the reef you often see the club laughing about the previous nights antics or just slating your mate as he gets an eight foot set on the head. We are a close knit bunch who love our wave and try to educate visiting surfers some respect on the reef and hope that outsiders understand that the waves aren’t good at leven very often, so just remember next time you paddle past that guy he’s probably be surfing there for at least 15 years and some over 40 years.
